Adama Bilorou




adama-djembe.jpgBorn in Burkina Faso in the beginning of the 80s, Adama comes from a griot family.
He recieved early initiations to the knowledges of his people, and at 13 he is the solist of the "adama geant" group with the "nains d'abidjan.

He leave for Italy to collaborate with the coulibaly brothers, then to Burkina Faso with the band "kazama aza" and the Ivory Coast national ballet.

In 1999, he create the group "djelikan" (the voice of griots) he also works with"binkadiso" as a conductor.

In 2001, he is proclaimed best drummer of his generation by his masters. Adama roamed of the roads of Africa and the rest of the world in the ancient ways with his multiple projects, as fatchin, that he conducts until now.

On his ways he collaborate with the big names as Tiken Jah Fakoly, Bongana Maiga, Paco Sery , Trilok Gurtu, Salif Keita, Antonello Salis, Alpha Blondy, Papa Wemba, The Symphonic Orchestra of Lyon, Adama Drame, Mamady Keita ,Lokua Kanza, Aly Keita, Sekouba Bambino, Sekou Keita, The Yelemba of Abidjan….etc.

Today, Adama lives in France and is affirming his creativity in the traditions, afro jazz ,and throught the various collaboration both in music and contemporary dance.
